I generally prefer simple fonts with as few points as it's possible but this time
I decided to create a font emulating shades of grey and it requires a lot of points.
Creating the original design with a brush, watercolours and paper was rather fast and easy
but then I spend more than a month experimenting with different approaches and programs
to get the best result. In the end I wrote my own converting tool and after a lot
of manual tweaking I finally end up with a font that's under 1 MB.
It's still rather big and slow but it's much better than my previous prototypes. =)

[ Èeský popis ]

Vìtinou se ve svých fontech snaím poèet øídicích bodù omezit na nutné minimum,
ale tentokrát jsem se rozhodl udìlat font, který by rastrováním emuloval odstíny edi a to vyaduje
skuteènìho hodnì bodù.
Vytvoøení prvotního návrhu pomocí tìtce a vodových barev bylo pomìrnì rychlé a snadné,
ale pak jsem více nez mìsíc strávil experimentováním s rùznými pøístupy a programy,
abych se dopracoval skuteènì nejlepímu výsledku. Nakonec jsem si napsal vlastní konverzní
utilitu a po dalích ruèních úpravách jsem se koneènì dobral fontu, který má ménì ne 1 MB.
Je to stále pomìrnì hodnì a font se tak pomalu vykresluje, ale proti pøedchozím prototypùm je to znatelné vylepení. =)
