I found an existing font named USFlag, so I've renamed (internally and
externally) my new font to
USStarsNStripes to avoid conflicts.

In Office Depot today, I found an irresistable bargain ln the clearance
table for only 75¢. A jingoistic Cosmi package labeled "God Bless
America" - a collection of screen savers, clipart, music, images, etc.
Buried in the clipart is a file "Flag Alphabet", with two graphic red
white and blue starts and stripes 26-character alphabets - one flat and
one slightly rounded.

I looked at my collection of 80 some-odd stars and stripes fonts, and
was very surprised that I didn't see one like this one. So I took out my
trusty Scanfont and Fontlab and here you go!

It is spaced and kerned extremely tightly in an attempt to emphasize the
horizontal stripes. The lower case duplicates the upper, but takes no
additional glyph space, since they are all "referrals" (I'm sure there's
a proper term for it).
